COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

Our Community Empowerment activities focus on the needs and welfare of different groups of people in our community. We also work with federal, state and local council departments and agencies to bring benefits to the community. Some of the community welfare activities include:

  • Providing food pack to help Temporary VISA holders and international students who are struggling due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Helping Tamil families and children on Temporary Visas in Victoria in their emergency needs, and to pursue their tertiary education by Christmas Day Radiothon.
  • Helping youth and adults to find suitable job by working with Settlement Services International.

We also aim to bring the community members together to work for their needs and broaden their networks and meet new people. An empowered community can influence the social and economic aspects of a country to seek their rights. Some of the community group activities includes:

  • Senior Citizen Hub – Leisure and well-being activities
  • Tamil Library Services
  • Media Studio facilities for artists to collaborate and bring up their productions and
  • Women social activities
  • Youth development activities
